Willian Shakespeare is the son of John Shakespeare. He was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon and was baptized on April 26th, 1564. His actual date of birth is not known. However, the people ceremonially observe his birthday on April 23rd. Eighteenth-century scholars picked the date because he died on April 23rd, 1616. He was the 3rd child of his parents and had eight siblings. His father was a prominent town official.

Personal life

William won a scholarship to attend King Edward Grammar School in Central Stratford. He learned Latin Grammar and literature while in school. Shakespeare got married at the age of 18 on November 28th, 1582. His wife Anne Hathaway was a 26-year-old lady, and they got married at the Temple Grafton, Stratford. Six months after their marriage, Anne gave birth to a baby girl called Susana, and they baptized her on May 26th, 1583. After two years, they had a twin, and they named them Hamnet and Judith. Unfortunately, his son Hamnet died in 1596 due to an unrevealed sickness.

Shakespeare died on April 23rd, 1616, at the age of fifty-two years. He was buried in the Chancel of Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-Upon-Avon. A half image monument in the act of writing was erected there in his honor.

Career and Works

No one knows the time Shakespeare started writing, but some of his earliest plays were in London around 1592. He was popular, and many people knew his plays. One of his earliest critiques was Robert Green who accused Shakespeare of trying to reach above his rank to compete with university gurus such as Christopher Marlowe and Thomas Nashe.

Before Robert Green’s attack, no one had attacked William Shakespeare in London Theater. In 1594, Shakespeare became more famous in London after performing with the Chamberlain’s men. This company became a leading company in London as a result of the performance with Shakespeare as well.

When Queen Elizabeth died in 1603, the company’s name was changed to King’s Men. This was because the company received a royal patent by King James, who succeeded Queen Elizabeth. As Shakespeare continued to write and act, he enjoyed the patronage of the King, alongside his royal members. As theater continued to grow in London, he played a significant role and became a wealthy man. He bought the second-largest house in Stratford, London, in the year 1605.

Some of his plays came out in Quarter edition from 1594 to 1598. His name began to appear on the title pages because of how important he was. William Shakespeare remains the greatest writer in English and the greatest dramatist in the world.

All of his works can easily be found in the Folger Shakespeare Library. William was influenced to write about comedy and love by the Italian and Roman tradition. Some of his greatest books include Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night Dream, Julius Caesar, etc.

Shakespeare’s role in improving modern theater cannot be overemphasized. Western literature enthusiasts admired his novels, and he also changed English literature dynamics.
